Pathways from players in esports are a clear as mud. By taking in the Ireland Collegiate Series as it s known now we could create a comprehensive pathway from casual gamer to pro. The other risk was that this competition was typically run by past and present students, there was constant change to the day-to-day administration and we needed to change this, create a solid foundation for Ireland Collegiate to grow from. The talent opportunity was also staring us in the face!

COMMUNITY INSIGHTS
- 17.5% of participants are female, this number is set to grow
- 29% are over the age of 22 years
- 71% of all students undertake 30mins or more physical activity each week
- 92% are interested in testing products and services for technology companies
MILESTONES SINCE LAUNCH
- Took in the Collegiate Series (Sep 2022) - the options were for it to be merged into a UK competition or someone picked it up locally, we put our hand up and launched Nativz Collegiate
- Brains Trust Strategy Session (Jun 2023) - we took some time to build out a 3 Year Strategy for the product with goals focused on Participation, Value and Impact
- Ireland Collegiate was born (Sep 2023) - strategically we are the Official Collegiate Series for Ireland so we needed to own that, enter Ireland Esports Collegiate Series
- Players Want In-Person Events (Dec 2023) - they asked and they received, with help from Dogpatch Labs and GG Machines we held the first ever in-person Collegiate finals event in Ireland
