Founder story
Kurt Pittman’s journey into gaming was built on a lifetime of passion for sports, innovation, and the pursuit of excellence. With over 20 years of experience in the sports industry, Kurt’s career saw him rise to executive leadership roles in prominent football clubs such as Fulham FC and Brentford FC, before transitioning into the esports arena.
Kurt’s vision for Nativz Gaming was born out of a desire to blend his expertise in traditional sports with the fast-paced, ever-evolving world of esports. In 2021, while living in Dublin, he founded Nativz Gaming with a clear mission: to build a sustainable and thriving esports ecosystem in Ireland, one that would unlock local talent and give them a global platform. His passion for creating pathways to professional success—whether for players, coaches, or managers—has driven Nativz Gaming to become a pioneer in the industry. Under Kurt’s leadership, the organization has not only developed the Ireland Esports Collegiate Series but also launched Nemesis, a cutting-edge competitive gaming platform, which further cements Nativz Gaming’s role as an innovator.
Kurt’s entrepreneurial spirit, combined with his love for sports and a deep commitment to creating long-term impact, has guided Nativz Gaming from a start-up to a leading force in Irish esports. Today, Kurt and his team continue to focus on building meaningful connections between esports, traditional sports, and brands, while providing opportunities for the next generation of talent to shine on a global stage.
Local, sustainable ecosystem
We learnt early on that building a global business in gaming and esports needed a local base to build from. For an industry so heavily reliant on sponsorship, the reach needed to attract partners required significant investment - hardly sustainable. By rebuilding Ireland's collegiate esports series we have a community foundation to grow from sustainably.
Building talent pathways
Over 1,000 students have participated in the Ireland Esports Collegiate Series since we took it over in September 2022. That's not just playing, they also fulfil roles as coaches, managers, analysts, social media admins, game admins (refs) and as content creators. As of July 2024 we started building the Nativz Esports Academy, designed to create a pathway-to-pro for this talent in any of those roles.

More than 70% of that talent are in technology courses. Sports Clubs & Leagues, Esports Orgs, Educators, Brands, Media and Betting. Our platforms, like Nemesis, enable us to deliver high-quality esports events and competitions that reach global audiences. We use the latest tech solutions to enhance player performance, create engaging experiences for viewers, and enable seamless collaboration with our partners around the world.
